VESNA GARABANTIN

VESNA GARABANTIN was born on August 6, 1991. in Novi Sad.

She has been playing the cello since she was seven years old. She graduated from the primary and secondary music school "Isidor Bajić" in the class of prof. Judit Niederholzer Josifoske, and then basic and master's academic studies in Novi Sad in the class of prof. Imre Kalman.

During her studies, she won first prizes as a soloist and as a member of a chamber ensemble at international competitions.

She attended courses with eminent professors: Istvan Varga, Lasl Meze, Aleksandar Latković, Đorđe Bajić and Kayoko Jokota.

During her training, she gained a lot of experience in playing chamber and orchestral music. She attended a chamber music seminar where the lecturers were members of the "Manhattan" string quartet, Belgrade "Philhademija", etc.

She performed at the "Bolshoi" festival, as well as "Kotor Art" events. She played occasionally in the Belgrade Philharmonic as a part-time performer, the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, the Banja Luka Philharmonic and the Subotica Symphony Orchestra.
 
Since September 2017, she has been working at the "Stevan Mokranjac" Art School in Negotin as a cello teacher.
